Laura is a Rochester, NY native and a Finger Lakes School of Massage 2001 graduate. Within these past 20 years, she studied various healing modalities that has deepened her perspective on health and healing. This eventually led her to studying Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco at The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated in 2016 with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, she is a certified Reiki Master, certified qigong instructor, and has studied CranioSacral Therapy under the Upledger Institute. Currently, she is working towards her certification as a CranioSacral Therapist under the Upledger Institute. While in San Francisco she had the privilege of studying under her mentor, BJ Green, for four years in Shiatsu, Positional Release Therapy (PRT), and Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Laura has been intrigued by nature and its’ natural rhythms since she was a young girl exploring nature in her back woods. Her studies in bodywork, energy work, Qigong, and Chinese Medicine has and continues to deepen her awareness on how everything is connected. Two Dragons Acupuncture embodies the relationship of yin & yang. These two opposing yet synergistic forces exists in nature and in everything: the masculine to the feminine, the ascension to the deep dive within, and the light to the shadow. Both exist in each of us, and how we attend to them both requires a different approach.

My mission in life is to inspire and help facilitate others on their healing journey. We can only start where we are in this moment. In order to know where we are, we have to be honest with ourselves, our expectations, and our commitment to ourselves.
I care about your well being and with the best of my ability will provide you with guidance, knowledge, and tools needed to assist you in getting to where you want to be on your health journey. This is a co-effort, but the effort you put forth and back onto yourself will be life changing.
Chinese Medicine is a 3,000 year old medicine. While acupuncture is the most well-known and integrated modality of Chinese Medicine in Western culture, there are a total of 5 pillars within Chinese Medicine. They are acupuncture, herbal medicine, diet, movement (qigong, tai chi, & meditation), and manual therapy (gua sha, cupping, & bodywork). Each pillar is an equally important aspect to one's health.
My goal is to provide holistic care where the focus is on the individual as a whole living being: the physical, mental, & emotional body using the fundamental healing principles of mind-body medicine and the 5 pillars of Chinese Medicine.

With over 20 years of massage therapy & bodywork experience, I have learned that the body responds best working with the tissues and not against them. I meet the tissues where they are and I do not overwhelm them. My approach is to work intuitively, by taking the time to warm up the tissues.
I can best be described as a gentle energy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch therapy that can release tension deep in the body while improving the function of the body as an integrated whole. When your body endures stresses and strains, your body can absorb them and eventually the tissues begin to tighten. This can begin to affect your brain and spinal cord compromising your central nervous system. Through this light-touch therapy and by listening with my hands I can locate areas where the fluid is not flowing at an optimal level or where there are restrictions in the tissues. This is done by placing my hands on different areas of your head and body using no more than 5gms of pressure (the weight of a nickel) using delicate manual techniques to help release the areas of restriction and thus improving the function of the central nervous system and areas where you maybe experiencing pain or discomfort.
Sessions are typically an hour long, and while each individual's experience is different most individuals find it relaxing and may sense areas of warmth and gentle pulsing on the areas I am working on.
